CRC and EventTech Now Audio/Visual Solutions Located in Lloyd Hall

June 10, 2010 – The University of Alabama Classroom Resource Center (CRC) and the Event Technology Department (EventTech) comprise the new Audio/Visual Solutions team and have moved! Formerly in Farrah Hall, the two offices are now located in 117 Lloyd Hall.

Audio/Visual Solutions, part of the Office of Information Technology (OIT), has technical resource teams available to all faculty and departments.

Audio/Visual Solutions provides assistance through consulting, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of media-enabled classrooms. Portable equipment is available for short-term rental from OIT’s Classroom Support Services. Individuals and departments will now go to 117 Lloyd Hall to pick up rented equipment and CD/DVD duplication media. For more information, please visit the Audio/Visual Solutions section.

Audio/Visual Solutions is responsible for the installation of sound systems and video/audio setup for university-related events. This group assists the campus with special events by providing audio and video setup and operation of PA or video projection systems. Scheduled Outages

Routine Maintenance

OIT performs routine maintenance on servers and systems every Sunday from 8 a.m. to noon. Many IT services may be offline intermittently during this time. Network access and computing resources availability (Banner, E-Learning, Exchange server, etc.) may also be affected. Since this is a low-usage period, fewer UA customers will be impacted.
