The IT Service Desk provides computer maintenance and repair services to current University of Alabama students. The following services are available for $70.00 on Bama Cash (via Action Card) only:

  • Virus & Malware removal/clean up
  • Operating repair/reinstalls
  • Data backup (call for pricing)

  • General MS Office software troubleshooting
  • Hardware failure referrals

*McAfee software can be download by clicking here.  All other freeware may be obtained by bringing a jump drive or blank cds to the IT Service Desk.  Freeware includes Network Repair, Computer Maintenance, & Utility Software.

Scheduled Outages

Routine Maintenance

OIT performs routine maintenance on servers and systems every Sunday from 8 a.m. to noon. Many IT services may be offline intermittently during this time. Network access and computing resources availability (Banner, E-Learning, Exchange server, etc.) may also be affected. Since this is a low-usage period, fewer UA customers will be impacted.
