Crimson email accounts are lifelong with no expiration. Students who enrolled at The University after fall 2008 have a Crimson email account. Crimson mail is accessed at mail.crimson.ua.edu using the same login credentials as myBama. Also, Crimson mail is hosted by Google, meaning students and alumni have all the benefits of using Gmail including chat, calendar, address book and docs applications.
Upon graduation, student Box cloud storage accounts will be converted to personal Box accounts. Files will remain safe and secure at box.com. Graduates will receive more information regarding this account conversion directly from Box.
Also upon graduation, students Microsoft 365 subscription will come to an end. Graduates with files stored in One Drive should move these to a personal account. UA graduates can purchase a personal Office 365 account directly from Microsoft.
Access to your Enterprise Adobe Creative Cloud Cloud will expire immediately after graduation. Please migrate any Creative Cloud assets to a personal Creative Cloud account before commencement. Instructions for doing so are available on Adobe’s website.
DUO users will automatically be deactivated from the DUO two-factor authentication system. No action is required from the graduate.
Students using UA’s Enterprise McAfee Virus Protection for Student Use should remove the software from their devices as the software will expire soon after graduation. Students can purchase additional McAfee coverage directly from McAfee.
