SANS Security Awareness is an online cybersecurity awareness training provided by OIT and UA Human Resources.

SANS cybersecurity awareness training is available through the UA LMS in the Compliance tab. All UA faculty and staff will have access to the training, and many faculty and staff groups on campus are required to complete the training. OIT recommends each and every UA employee utilize this online training as it is a great tool for the average user to learn about information security.

SANS cybersecurity awareness training covers common cyber threats that the University actively faces.  Cybersecurity is the responsibility of each University of Alabama community member. The content in this course teaches security concepts that are critical to daily job activities; many of the concepts are also applicable to our personal computer use. Each module features cybersecurity scenarios that cover a specific security topic and then includes a short quiz.
