These guidelines apply to all employees accessing UA technology resources when working remotely.
- Do not use a personal device for remote work if you work with sensitive or restricted information. Use a UA issued device.
- If you do not work with sensitive or restricted information and must use a personal device for remote work, ensure that the minimum standards for personal devices are met.
- If you are traveling internationally, work with OIT or your IT department to request a “loaner” laptop.
- Do not use unapproved remote access tools to access your work computer remotely. The only currently approved remote access solution is UA VPN + Remote Desktop (RDP). Please contact OIT for guidance if you require an alternate solution.
