University-Level Committees
The Office of Information Technology works to provide our customers with innovative and reliable IT services. Receiving input from key stakeholders and customers is key to our success. Below are the committees that regularly provide feedback and guidance to OIT.
- IT Committee (ITC)
- Technology and Learning Committee (TLC)
IT Forum
The Office of Information Technology hosts a monthly IT Forum to share IT news and build community among IT practitioners at The University of Alabama. At the Forum, representatives from OIT share project updates and upcoming scheduled maintenance. The floor is open for all members to ask questions, share tips and tricks and discuss general IT news that impacts the group and the campus community.
The IT Forum currently has more than 60 members. These members originate from OIT, Arts and Sciences, C&IS, Nursing, Continuing Studies, and many other schools, divisions and departments at UA.
Members do not have to work for The Office of Information Technology to join the Forum; however, they do need to have an IT function as their primary job responsibility. To join the Forum, please email Barrett Elder, OIT’s Director of Customer Relations.
