Upgrade Windows 10

OIT has made it easy to for faculty and staff to upgrade computer operating systems. Beginning in June, faculty and staff with OIT-supported Windows computers will begin receiving announcements on their computers to upgrade Windows 10 to the newest supported version, 10 21H2. Crimson Google Account Service Ends

Effective May 16, 2022 UA no longer supports Crimson Google account services for UA students + alumni. Microsoft 365 is now the provider of email + collaboration tools for UA students, faculty and staff. Get to know Microsoft 365 and the collaboration tools available to UA students, faculty and staff.


Alabama.Gov Phishing Scam

OIT Security has been made aware of a phishing attack targeting the Alabama.gov Procurement website. A phishing/scam site has been set up that appears to look like the Alabama.gov website. Microsoft Login Issue

Update 8:50pm 5/10/22 – This issue has been resolved, students can now access Microsoft 365 applications. A change in Microsoft’s licensing procedures caused some students to not be able to log into some Microsoft 365 applications. Esri to Retire ArcMap

ArcGIS has evolved into a modern suite of apps – ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Field Maps, ArcGIS Story Maps, ArcGIS Dashboards, ArcGIS Pro, and many others.
