Banner Bundle Upgrade – Sunday, May 15

OIT will be implementing a Banner bundle upgrade on Sunday, May 15 from 5am – 10 am.  myBama and channels that connect to Banner will not be accessible, including self-service and administrative systems. Visit the OIT Status Page for more information.

Authentication Service Upgrade – April 23

OIT will be upgrading authentication service on Saturday April 23 at 6 a.m. Services may be intermittently unavailable while the upgrade is performed; however, users should be able to log into all services by 6:30 a.m.

After the upgrade, login screens will have minor differences, but still feature similar content and campus photo.

Spring Upgrades – March 27, 2022

Service Issue – Dec. 14, 2021

OIT experienced an equipment issue in the Gordon Palmer data center that caused issues with some campus services on Tuesday, Dec. 14 from 10:15am – 12:02pm. The equipment has been removed and services have resumed functionality.

myBama Outage

myBama.ua.edu experienced a brief outage Monday, Dec. 6. Root cause of the outage is unknown; however, a database restart resumed service.

The new myBama did not experience an outage. Please transition to use the new myBama at mybama.oitapps.ua.edu.

Banner Upgrade – Oct. 10

OIT will be implementing a Banner bundle upgrade on Sunday, Oct. 10 from 4:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.  myBama will be available during the upgrade, but channels that connect to Banner will not be accessible, including self-service and administrative systems.
