Eduroam Authentication Change – September 17

The eduroam certificate update, which took place on Wednesday, September 10, was not successful for all users. Because of this, we’ll be rolling back to the old authentication method on Wednesday, September 17, between 5 AM and 8 AM. If you are on campus, you may experience a brief outage as the new authentication process is implemented.

Historically, most devices deal with certificate replacement fairly smoothly, but some devices will prompt the user to accept/trust the new certificate. You may also need to re-enter your credentials to log into the network. If your computer prompts you to accept a new eduroam certificate upon the next use, please accept/trust the new certification to continue an uninterrupted Wi-Fi experience.

If you experience any issues with this change, please reach out to ITSD@ua.edu or 205-348-5555.
