The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is enhancing account security by transitioning to Okta Single Sign-On (SSO) and Okta Verify as the University’s primary authentication and multi-factor authentication (2FA) solution.
As part of this transition, Microsoft Authenticator will no longer be supported. All alumni and retirees who currently use Microsoft Authenticator must migrate to Okta Verify by May 29 to maintain uninterrupted access to University services.
This change is part of a broader initiative to strengthen cybersecurity and protect University accounts against unauthorized access. Okta Verify provides:
- Enhanced security through modern authentication protocols
- A streamlined login experience across devices and services
- Improved protection against phishing and account compromise
Failure to complete this transition in time may result in temporary loss of access to University systems, including email and other services available to alumni and retirees.
