Have questions about the Keeper password management tool?

We have the answers!

Can Keeper see my data?

No. Your information is available to you and only to you. Keeper vaults are encrypted; Keeper does not have a key to unlock your encrypted data.

Can I import data from a different password manager?

Sure! The best way to import data is through their desktop app. You can download the desktop app at www.keepersecurity.com/download-desktop

What happens if I already have a personal Keeper account?

If you are a current faculty or staff member and you already have a personal Keeper account associated with a personal email address, you are entitled to upgrade to the Family Plan version at no cost. The personal and enterprise accounts may be linked, so you can access your personal account in the same view as your enterprise account.  The accounts are not merged together but are viewable in the same space. You can learn how to integrate your personal vault at http://docs.keeper.io/enterprise-guide/personal-vaults-for-enterprise-and-business-users

Is Keeper mandatory?

The use of Keeper is not mandatory. It is offered to faculty and staff to increase the security of everyone’s account information.

What if I already have a Keeper account associated with my UA email address?

If you already have a Keeper account associated with your UA email address, please continue activating your Keeper Enterprise account. Once your account is associated with UA’s enterprise services, please proceed with activating a personal Family Plan account with a non-UA email address. University-related passwords should be stored in the Enterprise account, and personal passwords should be stored in the Family Plan account.  You can link these two accounts together and migrate any personal account information from your University account to your new personal account.

Can UA see my personal passwords?

No, the passwords stored in your personal account are only visible by you. UA nor Keeper can see them.

What happens when I leave the UA?

When you retire, terminate employment or leave UA, you will no longer have access to the passwords stored in your Enterprise account. Your Family Plan account will be unlinked from your Enterprise account. You will continue to have access to the contents of your personal vault for 30 days.
