**Before migrating your UA information from LastPass, you must first unlink any personal account that you may have linked to your Enterprise LastPass account. If the personal account is not unlinked prior to migrating to Keeper, all the personal account information will also be pulled into the Keeper Enterprise Vault. Personal LastPass account content can be migrated to personal Keeper accounts after the personal Keeper accounts are created.

  1. Go to https://oit.ua.edu/software/keeper/ and follow the instructions to create your Keeper account.
  2. Unlink the personal account.
    1. Open your LastPass Enterprise Vault
    2. At the bottom left, click “Account Benefits.”
    3. In the Account Linking section, click “Remove Linked Account.”
    4. Enter your LastPass Enterprise Master Password and hit Continue.
  3. Download the Keeper Desktop app.
    1. Browse to https://www.keepersecurity.com/download.html?t=d
    2. Click on the icon representing your operating system.
    3. Click on the yellow Download link above the icon.
  4. Install the Keeper Desktop app.
    1. Browse to your Downloads folder.
    2. Double-click on the KeeperPasswordManager.appinstaller.
    3. Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
    4. If the Keeper desktop app doesn’t automatically launch, click the Launch button.
    5. Enter your mybamaid@ua.edu email address. It may already be available from the drop-down menu.
    6. Make sure “Enterprise SSO Login” is selected in the box below where it says, “Need Help?” and click Next.
    7. You may get a pop-up window asking you to Pick an account. Pick the account with the email address that you used in Step 5.
    8. Click the button for your preferred DUO authentication method.
    9. Answer the DUO prompt.
    10. You may see a message about using Keeper push or Admin approval to approve the device. If you select Admin approval, the Keeper administrator will approve the request in short order.
    11. Once the Desktop app is open, in the middle of the page, click “Import My Passwords.”
    12. Select LastPass from the list in the middle of the window.
    13. Enter your UA-issued email address (myBamaID@ua.edu) in the form. Do not check Include Shared Folders. Click Next.
    14. Enter your LastPass Master Password and click Next.
    15. Answer the DUO prompt to allow access to your LastPass Vault.
    16. On the Import screen, you will see a list of the LastPass Vault contents that will be imported. Make sure that “Import Root Level Folders as Shared” is NOT checked. Click Import to proceed.
    17. You should see a pop-up window showing “Import Complete” and telling how many passwords were imported. Click OK to finish.
