ArcGIS Pro is used for creating, viewing and sharing maps. This software is also used to compile geographic data, analyze mapped information and manage geographic information in a database. ArcGIS Pro maintains an infrastructure for making this data shareable with small groups, organizations or the public. Learn more about this software on the ArcGIS website.
ArcGIS has evolved into a modern suite of apps – ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Field Maps, ArcGIS Story Maps, ArcGIS Dashboards, ArcGIS Pro, and many others. If you haven’t already, Esri encourages you to transition to use Modern GIS workflows. Visit the Esri website for more information and begin transitioning to Modern GIS workflows.

How to Obtain ArcGIS Pro
Visit the link below to view instructions and obtain the ArcGIS Pro software download file. Please note, this license will only work while connected to The University of Alabama network. UA VPN can be used for remote access.Download ArcGIS Pro
Operating Systems
This software is not compatible with Mac, only Windows machines. Mac users can download VMware or Windows 10 for Education. Newer macs that use the M1 chip can use Parallels 17. More information about using ArcGIS on a Mac is available on the Esri website.

LICENSING INFORMATION
This license agreement is solely administered by the University Lands.
SOFTWARE INFORMATION
This software is not compatible with Mac, only Windows machines. Mac users can download VMware or Windows 10 for Education. Installing this software requires admin privileges for the computer. The install package will expand to create a directory on the local machine. If space is not available, the download may not work. ArcGIS Pro does not allow for concurrent licensing.
