Malwarebytes offers simple and effective malware protection to help UA students, faculty and staff protect data and identity across connected devices. All computers should have an antivirus or anti-malware software, like Malwarebytes, installed.
This software is for personal use only and should not be installed on UA-owned devices. UA-owned devices run the enterprise version of Malwarebytes; contact your technical support group or the IT Service Desk for assistance with UA-owned devices.

How to Obtain Malwarebytes
University-Owned Machines
Contact the technical support group for your area. If your technical support is provided by OIT, please send your request to the IT Service Desk.
Personal Machines
1. Visit https://my.malwarebytes.com/portal
2. Enter your UA affiliated email and select “Claim Malwarebytes License”
3. Create an account with Malwarebytes
4. A Verification code will be sent to your UA email.
5. Enter the code and verify your Email.
6. Under the Subscriptions tab on your account, select “Activate Now” to download and activate the Malwarebytes standard license on your device.
ELIGIBILITY AND COST
There is no cost, and this license covers all University-owned computers.
LICENSING INFORMATION
This software is licensed for use on University-owned machines and devices only.
The University maintains a site-license for this malware detection software for Windows and Mac workstations and servers. The license covers all University-owned computers.
