About Respondus LockDown Browser

LockDown Browser is a locked browser for taking tests in Blackboard Learn. It prevents students from printing, copying, visiting another URL, or accessing other applications during a test. If a Blackboard test requires that LockDown Browser be used, you will not be able to take the test with a standard web browser. LockDown Browser should only be used for taking Blackboard tests. It should not be used in other areas of Blackboard.

How to Obtain Respondus LockDown Browser
Download the UA version of the Respondus LockDown Browser through the Respondus website, or through Blackboard Learn’s Institution page. Be sure to download and run the software before taking an exam or quiz that requires Respondus LockDown Browser. LockDown Browser is not compatible with Chromebook.

Available free of charge to all academic and administrative departments, faculty, students, and staff.
