Microsoft Power BI is a suite of business analytics tools used to analyze data and share insights. Power BI dashboards provide a 360-degree view for business users with their most important metrics in one place, updated in real time. Microsoft Power BI allows users to model and visualize data to better understand business processes.
Power BI Pro is available at no charge for current UA faculty and staff. Visit the Microsoft website to download Power BI. When prompted, sign in with your myBama email address and password.
Student assistants (employees) are eligible to use Power BI Pro for an additional fee of $23 per user per year. A departmental representative may request access on behalf of students by contacting the IT Service Desk. This license can be reassigned by request.
Students can request access to Power BI (free version) by contacting the IT Service Desk. Once access has been given, visit the Microsoft Power BI website to download the desktop version. Power BI Pro is not available to students at this time.
